A Young Partner Joins Peter Chong and Co.

“To become the better me today than me yesterday”, this is Mr. Toh Kok Chung’s motto.
Mr. Toh was made a partner of Peter Chong & Co. He joined the firm in July 2013. He was promoted to the position of Senior Audit Manager in 2018 prior to being admitted as a Partner in April 2020.
“Toh is a determined and committed person. He is professional and enthusiastic in the conduct of the assignments given. He shows leadership and works well with the team in the office. We are pleased to have him on board, and we look forward to his progress in our firm,” says Carine Tan, a senior partner of the firm.
Toh said that his goal is to bridge the staff and management and align with the firm’s goals. The firm believes that the staff’s feedbacks and input are essential to the accomplishment of its goals. Proper and open channels of discussion promote and improve employees’ morale and staff retention.
He believes in the value the firm holds, ie. to be passionate, to step into the shoes of the clients in all endeavors, and give the best to assist the clients. He is in agreement that the staff be well trained to best serve and support the clients' needs.

Peter Chong & Co. has assisted several of its clients to be listed on the Malaysian stock exchange (ie. Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad). These clients have since grown and have achieved great growth in financial success. Amongst the firm’s clients are companies that are involved in the export of furniture, a group of companies that have developed a popular township in Malaysia and own shopping malls, hotel, a college, etc. and companies with government concessions to provide digital broadcasting services, a sugar refinery, and plantations.
The firm has grown to five partners with the admission of Mr. Toh. The firm provides audit and assurance, tax, and advisory services to its clients with offices in Kuala Lumpur and Georgetown in Penang.
Toh’s vision for Peter Chong and Co. is for the firm to be recognized regionally as a one-stop service centre providing financial and professional services to businesses and corporations whilst also maintaining an environment where staffs find success and development in the industry in their choice.
